Founded in January 1950, Zhejiang Research Institute of Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhejiang Institute") is a large-scale scientific research and development institute in Zhejiang Province. It is the supporting unit of the National Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) Alternative Engineering Technology Research Center and the Zhejiang Base of the National Southern Pesticide Creation Center, with a state key laboratory for "Fluorinated Greenhouse Gas Replacement and Control Treatment". Since its establishment, Zhejiang Institute has undertaken more than 700 national and provincial longitudinal scientific research projects, achieved more than 400 scientific and technological achievements, and won more than 200 awards at the provincial or ministerial level.
Currently, Zhejiang Institute has a total of 112,000 square meters of experimental rooms. It consists of three research institutes, two centers, and 12 key laboratories. Additionally, there are nearly 30 scientific and technological innovation platforms at the national, regional, and provincial levels, as well as postdoctoral scientific research workstations. The main research areas include CFCs and Halon alternatives, fluoropolymers, fluorine-containing fine and special chemicals, new fluorine-containing pesticides, and dual carbon technology. The institute has successfully nurtured around 40 experts who receive special government allowances from the State Council, nearly 20 high-level talents designated under the "151" and "131" provincial and municipal programs, and over 200 research talents in various professional fields.
In recent years, Zhejiang Institute has been committed to the goal of "Anchoring world-class and building a source of original fluorine chemical technology".
